How live tracking will work
Live tracking is planned for a future Christmas Eve. Until then this page shows the approved route, the schedule and the committee’s posted status. When it launches:
- Only the event vehicle is shown, and only during the authorized event window.
- You never need to share your own location to watch.
- Every update shows the time it was received. If updates stop, the map says so and the marker stays put.
- Publishing stops when the drive ends — a volunteer’s trip home is never shown.
- Arrival times stay estimates until real data supports more.
